NSW: Man run over in car on north coast
SYDNEY, Aug 24 AAP - A 24-year-old man will face court after allegedly running over
a man in his car last night near Newcastle.
NSW police said the victim was seriously injured in the incident, which happened about
8pm at Mallabula, near Port Stephens.
He was taken to John Hunter Hospital, where he was in a stable condition with a dislocated
elbow and abrasions to the head.
Police arrested a man at the scene and later charged him with assault occasioning actual
bodily harm.
He was released on conditional bail to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court on September 27.
